Just finished up talking with Lorenzo Romar and a couple Washington players. Some quick notes and quotes:
> With the new Pac-12 schedule, Washington left Los Angeles Sunday night, got back to campus around 3:30 a.m. Monday and took Monday off from practice. The Huskies have a reduced practice Tuesday to about 1:15 instead of 1:30 and will have less 5-on-5 work.
> Washington players had a team meeting today called by the seniors. Abdul Gaddy did the most talking. The main topics were to stay together and make sure they play as hard as possible in these final seven games.
Never miss a local story.
> Oregon head coach Dana Altman said point guard Dominic Artis, who missed the first game against Washington, is "doubtful" for Wednesday's game.
> C.J. Wilcox said his foot hurts a little, but he'll be ready to go Wednesday.
> Romar thinks if Washington wins out -- that would bump it to 20-11 and 12-6 with wins over Oregon, Arizona and UCLA -- it can still get an at-large bid. But, "there is zero margin for error at this point. Zero."
> Romar also said he thinks Wilcox is going through a growth period where he's on the verge of becoming a very good all-around basketball player. He pointed out the Wilcox has had games of late with six steals (vs. USC) and seven rebounds in back-to-back games, though he hasn't been scoring as much.
> Gaddy said the main takeaway from last time against Oregon was turnovers.
> A couple Pac-12 coaches said today that they think five Pac-12 teams will make the NCAA tournament.
