There are multiple reports this morning, including those from ESPN and CBS Sports, that Chris Petersen has agreed to leave Boise State to become the next coach of the Washington Huskies.
Petersen is 92-12 in his eighth season at Boise State. He was reportedly in the mix for the head coaching job at USC before withdrawing, and has been pursued by a handful of programs over the past few years. It appears as if he was finally compelled to leave BSU. It will be interesting to see what the impetus was for his decision.
Stay tuned, as this will surely evolve throughout the day.
