(On practice ending later than usual) "It’s a normal Tuesday schedule for us that we’ve done throughout the regular season, and we’re approaching this week as a game week so that’s why we went a little bit longer than before."
(On Keith Price's legacy as a UW quarterback) "I think his body of work is as good as a lot of quarterbacks. We have a strong, rich history of quarterback play. He’s right up there. I don’t know how you can rank them. I’ll let you guys do that. But definitely I think he’s garnered the respect of all the quarterbacks that have played before him. He’s done a great job, he’s got one more game left and I know he’s fired up to finish it on the right note."
(What impresses you most about Price?) "He loves to play. He’s a competitor. He loves this game. You see it in the way he plays. He’s always smiling. He’s enthusiastic. I think that’s what helps him come back. He’s resilient."
(On graduate assistants taking over position groups) "I think you want to make sure the capability is there to coach up the right technique and see the right things throughout a practice and be able to correct it off the film. We’re very confident in those young men and they’ve been around our program for a year, they’ve learned how we like to do things and they’ve stepped in great."
(More on GAs) "I’m so involved with the offense and the quarterbacks that I think Justin, he can fill in and give any type of coaching to those guys to help them coach their respective position groups. So far, so good. We’re just plugging away like no one left."
(On progress in practice) "Each day that passes, I think what’s right in front of them is in their sights. The excitement builds by day and these guys have done a great job of plugging through. We had another good one today. It wasn’t perfect, but Tuesdays aren’t perfect. So we’ll correct them and come back for tomorrow."
(On gameplanning) "I think we’re right on track. We’ve had a lot fo time to watch the film. We’ll continue to watch it and critique what we have and see if we make any changes here or not."
(What stands out about BYU?) "We’re very close. I think if you look at what we’ve both done statistically, there’s a lot of good things there. We’re very similar. They play very hard. Obviously they’re older guys. They have a little bit more life experience but our kids are tough, they love to play and they fight too. I expect it to be a very competitive game. One thing that sticks out to me on film is that they play really hard and they don’t quit."
