An eclectic collection of links this morning, as we prepare for our mid-week availability with Washington basketball coach Lorenzo Romar and players ...
--- First, a blog post about an offensive lineman who says he will play football at UW.
--- And an update from Meg Wochnick of the Olympian on UW signee Donaven Dorsey of Timberline High School, whose ankle injury apparently is not as serious as originally believed:
--- Tacoma native DaVonte Lacy, Washington State's leading scorer, will be out at least another 2-4 weeks with a rib injury. That likely means he won't be able to play against Washington when the Huskies visit Pullman on Feb. 1. WSU has other matters to tend to first, beginning with tonight's home game against Oregon State (7 p.m., Pac-12 Networks). The Beavers don't want to let this opportunity for a road victory slip away from them.
--- One other Pac-12 game tonight, as California visits USC (8 p.m., ESPNU). The Golden Bears are unbeaten in conference play, and the Trojans are the last conference team without a league victory.
--- Washington's hire of Chris Petersen is given an "A" grade by Sports Illustrated in this rundown of the offseason coaching shuffle.
