DaVonte Lacy has missed Washington State's last six games -- five of them losses -- with a rib injury. And that came less than halfway into his first game back from an appendix issue that forced him to miss two games.
But WSU coach Ken Bone said Tuesday there's at least a chance that Lacy, the Cougars' leading scorer and a Tacoma native, will play Saturday against Washington.
Lacy is averaging 17.7 points per game, and the Cougars have sorely missed him as they've struggled mightily to score. The most recent evidence: a 25 percent shooting percentage during Sunday's ugly loss to Oregon.
Bone said Lacy has yet to practice since his injury, though he's gotten a few shots up and participated in a very brief passing drill the other day.
Never miss a local story.
WSU hosts UW at 3 p.m. Saturday.
