The NCAA tournament won't actually be over until Connecticut and Kentucky play for the championship tonight, but since nobody in our TNT Bracket Challenge picked either of those teams as their national champion, that means we can crown the winner of the pool.
With 44 correct picks and 82 points, Marshall Cherrington, owner of "Marshall's Perfect Bracket," is the 2014 TNT Bracket Challenge champion. If that name sounds familiar, it's because Cherrington, a senior at Redmond High, spends his free time running down recruiting news for Dawgman.com/Scout.com. Word is he's headed to USC for college, and he's chosen Qdoba as the vendor of his $50 gift card. The young man will have an enviable burrito supply, though something tells me he'll prefer Freebirds once he gets to Los Angeles.
Cherrington correctly picked two of the Final Four entrants -- Florida and, more impressively, Connecticut -- to separate himself from the rest of the field. Jennifer, whose bracket scored 79 points (41 correct picks), finished in second place, and Diggity, who owned "My Astonishing Bracket," finished in third place with 75 points (38 correct picks).
Thanks to all who participated.
