Spent the morning at the Dempsey Indoor facility, watching Washington Huskies football players go through workouts similar to what you'd see at a Pro Day -- 40-yard dashes, shuttle drills, vertical jumps and such.
There honestly isn't a whole lot to report -- we were told strength coach Tim Socha will tweet some of the best times and measurements later, so we'll post those when they're available -- other than the fact that it seemed to be pretty well-attended, with only a handful of players that I didn't see there. But with so many guys coming and going, and with classes still in session, that was to be expected.
Of note might also be that quarterback Cyler Miles was in attendance (pictured above), his first "public" appearance as a member of the team since his suspension ended last week. Senior receiver DiAndre Campbell spoke for a little while after his workout and said Miles apologized to the team upon being reinstated.
One minor note is that Hau'oli Kikaha, Psalm Wooching and Cory Littleton are now listed as outside linebackers instead of defensive ends, a distinction that I'm not sure is all that important aside from the terminology. We spoke with Kikaha (as well as Campbell and Shaq Thompson) after their workouts and will post the video of that a little later.
Never miss a local story.
Aside from that, not a whole lot to report, other than John Ross looking really fast. Kendyl Taylor also seemed to have a pretty good workout. But again, we'll post times and such when they become available.
