Former Washington Huskies shooting guard C.J. Wilcox, the No. 2 scorer in UW history, was selected 28th overall on Thursday by the Los Angeles Clippers during the first round of the NBA Draft.
Wilcox becomes the seventh UW player drafted in the first round during coach Lorenzo Romar's 12-season tenure.
He also became the fourth of five Pac-12 players selected so far in the first round, following Arizona forward Aaron Gordon (4th overall to Orlando), UCLA guard Zach LaVine (13th overall to Minnesota) and UCLA guard Jordan Adams (22nd overall to Memphis). Stanford forward Josh Huestis went 29th overall to Oklahoma City.
UPDATE: UCLA forward Kyle Anderson also landed in the first round, going 30th overall to the defending champion San Antonio Spurs.
