The Huskies football team held its final practice in Seattle yesterday before a break for the holidays, then a Dec. 28 trip to Phoenix for the Cactus Bowl on Jan. 2 in Tempe. But the UW men's basketball team is still in town, and will be in action tonight at 8 against Tulane. More on that and other news in our morning links.

Quinnipiac 60, Oregon State 52 -- The Beavers got pounded on the backboards.
USC 75, Boston College 71 -- Freshman Elijah Stewart tied a school record by shooting 10-for-10 from the field, and led the Trojans with 22 points.
Washington State 82, San Jose State 53 -- The Cougars took advantage of an undermanned Spartans team that was missing four starters due to suspension.
