Jahmel Taylor, a sophomore guard from Los Angeles, will transfer from the Washington Huskies men's basketball team.
Taylor appeared in only 20 games in his career, and played in only two games this season.
“Jahmel’s upstanding character and role on this team has been an asset to our program,” UW coach Lorenzo Romar said in a statement released by the school. “He has been a great teammate for the last year and a half and we’ve enjoyed coaching him. We will assist him in any way that we can as he looks for a new school and we wish Jahmel the best in the future.”
UW has granted Taylor a full release from his scholarship. His departure leaves the Huskies with 10 scholarship players this season.
