FROM BOULDER -- Benning Potoa'e, a defensive end from Lakes High School and one of the top-rated prospects in Washington, is scheduled to announce his college decision at a 2:15 p.m. ceremony today at his high school, per the Lakes football Twitter account.
Potoae, a 4-star prospect according to Scout.com, is thought to be deciding between Washington, UCLA and Oregon. He recently visited UW, and reportedly hosted Huskies coach Chris Petersen for an in-home visit on Wednesday. He is the younger brother of former Huskies defensive tackle Sione Potoae.
If Benning Potoae commits to the Huskies, they'll have seven in-state recruits committed for the class of 2015. The others: RB Myles Gaskin (O'Dea); OL Trey Adams (Wenatchee); OL Henry Roberts (Bellevue); DB Austin Joyner (Marysville-Pilchuck); LB Jusstis Warren (Lincoln); ATH Chico McClatcher.
