FROM LOS ANGELES -- There were three Pac-12 basketball games last night. None of them were close. Also, Nigel Williams-Goss is smart. Links:
--- Williams-Goss was named a Capitol One third-team academic All-American, becoming the first academic All-American in program history. He carries a 3.74 grade-point average in pre-social science, and plans to double-major in communication and psychology.
--- Chris Petersen was a guest on Sports Radio KJR 950 AM yesterday, and we recapped his interview with Mitch Levy.
--- Utah dominated Arizona State last night, racing to a 41-9 halftime lead -- 41-9! -- before winning 83-41 in yet another blowout in Salt Lake City.
Never miss a local story.
--- Believe it or not, Oregon State led at halftime on Thursday night against Stanford. Then the Beavers imploded, and lost, 75-48, in Palo Alto. Chasson Randle had a big game for Stanford.
--- There wasn't much intrigue in Boulder, either, as the Arizona Wildcats handled Colorado, 82-54. Arizona can finally focus on its showdown against Utah.
