A few links on a Sunday morning to wrap up the Pac-12 men's basketball tournament. Also, a programming note that I'm headed to help with our Mariners spring training coverage for a few days, so updates here might be infrequent. I will try to pass along pertinent information about Pac-12 teams from the NCAA tournament selection show. For now, links:
--- This week turned out to be a coronation for the Arizona men's basketball team in Las Vegas. The Wildcats, who ran away with the Pac-12 regular-season championship by three games, rolled to a dominant 80-52 victory over Oregon to win their first tournament title since 2002. Brandon Ashley was named tournament MVP, and three other Wildcats -- T.J. McConnell, Stanley Johnson and Rondae Hollis-Jefferson -- were named to the all-tournament team.
--- Eastern Washington, which UW defeated on Dec. 14, is going to the NCAA tournament for the second time in school history after beating Montana, 69-65, in the Big Sky tournament championship game.
Never miss a local story.
--- Seattle University, meanwhile, fell short of making the big dance after losing 80-61 to New Mexico State in the WAC tournament title game. Seattle finishes 16-15.
--- Here are some updated NCAA tournament projections from CBS Sports, which include three Pac-12 teams (Arizona, Oregon and Utah). UCLA is squarely on the bubble, and nobody else has a chance.
