Jacob Kizer, a tight end/defensive end prospect from West Salem (Ore.) HIgh School, used his Twitter account on Saturday afternoon to announce a commitment to play football for the Washington Huskies.
Kizer, who is rated a 3-star recruit by Scout.com, told that website in March that the Huskies offered him as a tight end. He’s listed at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds on his Hudl page.
"I had been talking with the tight ends coach (Jordan Paopao) and he asked me to come up," Kizer told Scout.com. "They just said they liked the way I play and what I can do and that they think I'm a good fit in their system, so they offered me as a tight end.”
Kizer becomes the seventh known player to commit to the Huskies for the class of 2016. His Scout.com profile lists offers from Oregon State, Washington State, Air Force, and a few Big Sky schools. He’s listed by Scout as the No. 41 tight end prospect in the 2016 class, and the No. 7 tight end on the west coast.
