A 22-yard touchdown pass from Tyler Hansen to Patrick Devenny with 2:04 remaining proved to be the difference as the Colorado Buffaloes slipped by with a 35-34 win against the Texas A&M Aggies in Big 12 Conference play at Folsom Field.

Hansen finished the contest 21-of-32 for 271 yards, was intercepted once and sacked eight times as the Buffaloes (3-6, 2-3 Big 12) snapped a two-game slide. Despite being taken down so many times behind the line of scrimmage, Hansen still managed to produce 45 net rushing yards, trailing only Rodney Stewart who tallied 118 yards and two TDs on 20 attempts.

The Aggies (5-4, 2-3) were paced by Jerrod Johnson who converted 20-of-36 for 242 yards and a score and also logged a rushing touchdown as the squad had a two-game win streak snapped.

The only points of the first quarter came courtesy of Jeff Fuller who caught a one-yard touchdown pass from Johnson to put the visitors ahead by a 7-0 score.

Colorado bounced back in the second quarter as kicker Aric Goodman booted a 37-yard field goal and Stewart reached the end zone on a 13-yard run, providing the Buffs with a 10-7 edge.

On the ensuing kickoff A&M surged back ahead on the strength of a 99-yard touchdown run by Cyrus Gray. Late in the frame Johnson made his way over the goal line from three yards away to push the Aggies to a 21-10 lead at the break.

The third quarter belonged to Colorado with another 37-yard field goal by Goodman and an 11-yard TD run by Stewart, with a successful two-point conversion tying the score at 21-21.

Less than a minute into the final period, A&M's Christine Michael scored on a six-yard run, followed by a 47-yard field goal by Randy Bullock to make the score 31-21 in favor of the Aggies.

Capping an eight-play, 73-yard drive, Demetrius Sumler brought the Buffaloes back to within three as he scored on a seven-yard run, making the score 31-28 with 7:14 left to play in the game.

Bullock converted a 20-yard field goal for the Aggies with just under four minutes remaining to push the Texas A&M advantage to 34-28, setting up the exciting game-winner by Devenny in the final minutes of action.

Colorado converted 8-of-16 on third down on the day, scoring on all five red zone possessions as it controlled the ball for more than 35 minutes.
