Jordan Rasmussen made sure the Pacific Lutheran seniors said goodbye to their homes fans in style.

The junior quarterback threw four touchdown passes on a soggy, blustery Saturday to lead the Lutes to a 35-17 victory over Menlo in the last game of the season at Sparks Stadium.

Rasmussen completed 20 of 46 passes for 244 yards as the Lutes won their seventh game in a row against Menlo.

Greg Ford was the primary target, hauling in 11 passes for 139 yards and two touchdowns.

Isaac Moog added three catches for 61 yards and a touchdown, and Drew Griffin made four catches of his own for 24 yards and a touchdown.

The Lutes took advantage of five Menlo turnovers.

The Lutes’ first score of the game came when Andy Sturza sacked quarterback Nick Ruhl and forced a fumble, which Erik Magnussen picked up and ran in for a 7-0 lead in the first quarter.

The Lutes held the Oaks to 76 yards on 33 plays in the first half, forcing three fumbles and coming up with one interception.

The Lutes finished with 96 rushing yards, led by Sean Snead’s nine carries for 58 yards.

Menlo quarterback Cruz Castillo completed 10 of 29 passes for 140 yards, throwing a touchdown pass and no interception while suffering six sacks.

Shaun Souza led the Oaks’ anemic rushing attack with 15 carries for 41 yards.

The Lutes outgained the Oaks in total yards of offense, 340-225.

PLU improved its record to 3-5 overall this season and 3-2 in the Northwest Conference, while Menlo dropped to 4-5 overall and 3-2 in the NWC.

PLU closes its season next Saturday with a trip to McMinnville, Ore., to face undefeated NWC leader Linfield College in a game schedule to start at 1 p.m.
