Cougars put on a show for crowd

SPOKANE – Washington State’s $11 million investment in Mike Leach paid dividends on the field, at the turnstiles and inside Marquess Wilson’s head Saturday afternoon at Albi Stadium.

PULLMAN – Xavier Cooper hasn’t played in a football game in almost two years, but the former Wilson High School star says the wait will soon pay dividends for himself and Washington State. “I’ve had a lot of time to work on technique and get stronger in the weight room. That’s helped a lot,” Cooper said.
