Pete DeBolt is finally running the show.
DeBolt spend 16 years as an assistant boys and girls basketball coach with various programs, including at Tahoma High School, where he has been hired to take over the girls basketball team.
DeBolt said he’s been an assistant at Kentlake, Auburn Mountainview and Tahoma, but this is his first head-coaching gig.
"I’m excited for the opportunity," DeBolt said. "It’s going to be a lot of fun.
Never miss a local story.
"I’m excited to finally be able to run a program and help kids get stronger in basketball. This just feels perfect for me here."
Tahoma lost in a 4A West Central District game against Timberline to end its 2014-15 season at 16-9. Coach Keith Wasberg resigned after the season to take on a greater role with the Emerald City Basketball Academy.
