Brewers send INF Hall to Mariners
The Milwaukee Brewers traded infielder Bill Hall to the Seattle Mariners for minor league pitcher Ruben Flores on Wednesday.
Hall was designated for assignment by Milwaukee on August 12 after struggling in 76 games this season. He hit only .201 with six homers and 24 runs batted in.
The 25-year-old Flores, who was taken in the 12th round of the 2003 draft, was 1-0 with a 13.06 earned run average in eight relief outings with Single-A High Desert of the California League this season. The right-hander started the year with Single-A Clinton of the Midwest League and is 3-2 with a 4.39 ERA in 44 relief appearances between the two minor league clubs.
