The Seattle Mariners have chatted with Detroit about pitcher Edwin Jackson, a right-hander they've long had interest in, but now we hear reports that the Tigers asked for pitchers Brandon Morrow and Shawn Kelley in return.
That comes on a 'tweet' from Jon Heyman, and this time of year, who knows if it has much to support it?
Still, it may be an indication why talks aren't moving along with the Tigers and Mariners. Morrow is considered available in the right deal - Seattle values him high - and Kelley could be, too.
But both for Jackson? If the Tigers made the offer, feel free to thank Jack Zduriencik for saying 'no.'
