Journeyman right-handed reliever Jesus Colome has signed a minor league deal with the Seattle Mariners and will be invited to spring training.
Colome, 32, has pitched for Tampa, Washington and Milwaukee in a nine-year career. He is 19-26 with six saves and a 4.66 earned run average in 328 career appearances.
In 21 games last year, Colome worked 21 1/3 innings, allowed 34 hits and six walks and compiled a 7.59 ERA. His best seasons were 2007 and 2008, when he appeared in 61 games each year, going 7-3 with a 4.07 ERA in that span.
