No, Don Wakamatsu probably won't play any single lineup the rest of the season, but he seems to have found players he's comfortable with using regularly.
Ichiro, Chone Figgins and Franklin Gutierrez are automatics at the top - Wakamatsu hasn't move any of them too far all year.
For now, Josh Bard seems to have emerged as a candidate to seize the bulk of the catching chores, both because of his defense and a hot bat. Milton Bradley is back, and will be given every opportunity to swing the bat Seattle traded for.
And Mike Sweeney appears to be taking the majority of DH at-bats.
Wakamatsu may rearrange the order, but for now he seems comfortable with the cast:
- Ichiro, RF
- Chone Figgins, 2B
- Franklin Gutierrez, CF
- Mike Sweeney, DH
- Jose Lopez, 3B
- Milton Bradley, LF
- Casey Kotchman, 1B
- Josh Bard, C
- Josh Wilson, SS
- Cliff Lee, P
