It's another birthday edition as my sister, Marcie, - the good kid in the family - celebrates her birthday. I think she's 31, but I'm not certain. To be exact, my b-day is June 3, my mom's is June 7, my sister is June 9. My dad calls it second Christmas. Also celebrating birthdays today are Dick Vitale, Michael J. Fox, Aaron Sorkin (who created one of my favorite TV shows "The West Wing") and former Mariner Randy Winn
The M's get a quick 2-0 lead on RBI doubles from Jose Lopez and Josh Wilson, the power hitting clean up and No. 5 stretch in the lineup.
Snell gives those two runs right back as Michael Young hits a solo homer to right - how many times have we seen that? And Vlad Guerrero scalds an RBI double to left.
Never miss a local story.
Basically, I don't feel like writing too much about this inning of suckiness. The wheels fell off. Ian Snell pitched like Ian Snell. He fell behind, and when he got ahead - like 0-2 to Michael Young, he just serves up a meat ball. They scored six runs on RBI singles from Young, Ian Kinsler and Vlad Guerrero, Snell also wild pitched in a run and then served up a two run bomb to Josh Hamilton that left the bat like a Patriot missile. It's 8-2. Barring a tornado warning or a miracle, this game is over.
M's go down 1-2-3
Luke French doesn't look to bad. He retires the Rangers in order.
Tui draws a walk. That's the extent of the offense.
Texas scores two more runs off of Luke French as David Murphy and Josh Hamilton have RBI singles.
I really have no desire to post updates from this game. It's horrible.
Julio Borbon made it somewhat interesting watching him triple to right. That guy can absolutely fly.
An inning without a run, but not without a baserunner.
Somewhere in the ninth inning
This has been bad. Snell probably pitched himself out of the rotation, and possibly out of the organization.
