Clearly, the midwest doesn't know how to handle its rain.
In the Northwest, a storm moves in, you know it's going to rain for a few days, maybe a week, sometimes longer. Here in St. Louis, they had a thunderstorm this afternoon that looked and sounded like the end of the planet.
The hotel televisions all died at once. Lights flickered and the lightning - and I'm not making this up - was going sideways across the sky.
An hour later, the Cardinals were taking batting practice on a field drenched in sunshine.
