Ichiro Suzuki is in line to win his 10th consecutive Gold Glove for outsanding outfield defense in about an hour, when Rawlings announces its 2010 winners.
The Seattle Mariners right fielder has one Gold Glove for every season he's played in the majors, book-ending those with his 10 consecutive 200-hit seasons - and no one in baseball history has managed that before.
At 37, his defense hasn't seemed to drop off any more than his hit totals, and when American League managers and coaches voted on the Gold Gloves, it's hard to imagine them leaving Ichiro off the ballot.
Awards are announced on ESPN at 12:30 p.m. (PST). Stay tuned.
