The Tacoma Rainiers are going to turn back the clock next week with ticket prices, not uniforms, then end their season with Fan Appreciation Day on Sept. 5
From Monday, Aug. 29 through Wednesday, Aug. 31, children 12 years of age and younger can come to a Rainiers game for 50 cents - the same price as a ticket during Cheney Stadium’s inaugural season in 1960. All 50-cent tickets must be purchased at Cheney Stadium , and the ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Rainiers have partnered with the News Tribune for Fan Appreciation Day on Monday, Sept. 5 - the club’s final regular season game. Each fan in attendance receives a complimentary Rainiers team poster as they enter the gates and will be eligible to receive other prizes expected to be given away throughout the game. Special concession prices will also be offered throughout the ballpark. The Rainiers begin their final homestand on Monday with a four-game series with the Tucson Padres then end the regular season with a four-game seriesw with the Fresno Grizzlies.
