Taijuan Walker pitched five good innings, but he couldn't stop the Rainiers' losing skid. Tacoma lost 3-2 to Fresno. Franklin Gutierrez went 1-for-4 in his first rehab game. Also noteworthy in the game story is that Logan Bawcom made an appearance in middle relief. Bawcom had been the Rainiers closer, but they are moving him to middle relief and giving him multiple innings to prepare for his role in the big leagues. It's possible we see Bawcom in the next few weeks if Oliver Perez is traded.
Mike Curto discusses Walker's inning limit this year on his blog.

Patrick Kivelhan hit his fourth homer in three games, leading High Desert to a 14-2 win.
Class A Clinton lost 2-1 in a rain delayed game.
Class Everett A lost 9-2 and their lead for the first half title in the NorthWest league is shrinking.
