An old friend beat up on the Tacoma Rainiers on Friday night. Former outfielder Mike Wilson went 4-for-5 with five RBI in a 13-6 win. The Rainers are four games back of Salt Lake City in the Pacific Coast League Northern Division with 10 games to play. A playoff berth is a long shot. Tacoma starter Andrew Carraway struggled again, giving up 11 runs (nine earned) on 11 hits in 4 1/3 innings pitched.
Double A Jackson dropped it's sixth straight game with a 3-2 loss to Chattanooga. Ramon Morla had three hits and Jabari Blash homered.
Class A High Desert managed just five hits in a 9-1 loss to Inland Empire. They remain a half-game back in the race for the final playoff spot in Cal League.
Class A Clinton got a solid start from Victor Sanchez, who gave up one run on three hits in six innings pitched, but still lost 1-0 to Wisconsin.
Class A Everett picked up a 3-2 win over Vancouver. Catcher Christian Carmichael tripled in the ninth inning and Phillips Castillo scored him with a ground ball for the walk-off win.
Class A Pulaski got a walk off single from Gabrial Franco in the 11th inning to notch a 3-2 win over Elizabethton.
