Coach Mike Holmgren has finished speaking with reporters following practice today. We asked him about a number of things. In asking about the line of succession at the tight end position, I drew an analogy to civics-class lessons about how the Speaker of the House could technically become president. Except I said president of the Senate. Holmgren called me on it later but, of course, the president of the Senate is the vice president, and he of course is in line to be president. All this trouble just to find out that FB Josh Parry would play the position of something happened to Will Heller and Itula Mili. Anyway, the audio is here. Podcast subscribers get it automatically.
Those curious to know the precise order of presidential succession can find it here or keep reading: vice president, House speaker, president pro tempore of the Senate, Secretary of State, Secretary of the Treasury, Attorney General, Secretary of the Interior, Secretary of Agriculture, Secretary of Commerce, Secretary of Labor, Secretary of Heath and Human Services, Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, Secretary of Transportation, Secretary of Energy, Secretary of Eductaion, Secretary of Veterans Affairs and Secretary of Homeland Security. At that point I think they just go with Will Heller.
