That's right, it's already Monday. My plane leaves Chicago in 5-6 hours. Mike Holmgren's press conference has been pushed back to 3:15 PDT because the team is arriving in Seattle later than usual. I'll be heading straight from Sea-Tac Airport to Kirkland for the press conference. We'll have the usual updates, and audio, whenever I get back. Note: All stories appear to be posted here.
As for the game Sunday night, here is my take: You cannot manufacture the "edge" Chicago brought to this game. The Seahawks certainly could not. This seemed to be a case of only one team being on a mission. This happens on occasion. It probably happened with New England at Cincinnati on Sunday. Are the Patriots better than the Bengals? Perhaps. Are the Bengals as bad as the score from that game indicated? No way. The Seahawks need to fix some things. The bye week probably comes at a good time. A year ago, this team was 2-2 and answering questions about its third-down defense (and play-calling) at Washington. That team responded. This team has a chance to do the same. We'll see if it does.
