Green Bay WR Koren Robinson was in Kirkland Municipal Court today as part of the case that precipiated his release from the Seahawks last year. We're well past the point of chronicling Robinson's travails, but I did want to provide some clarity for those following the case from afar.
One, Robinson has until March 1 to report for his 90-day jail term. He does not have to serve the entire sentence by then. Two, the sentence was imposed for a probation violation that had nothing to do with the more recent charges Robinson faces in Minnesota. The judge found only that Robinson had failed to report address changes and employment changes, and that he had failed to file reports stipulated by probation. The 90-day sentence would indeed seem a little light had it been in reaction to the more serious charges Robinson faces in Minnesota. But those charges had nothing to do with what transpired today.
