The Cowboys must have had headline writers in mind when they signed former Seahawks WR Jerheme Urban to their practice squad today. The move makes some sense given that Urban hurt the Cowboys with some big plays last season. The Seahawks released Urban before minicamps. He was suffering through some injury problems. Those are apparently behind him (although the Cowboys might have some tolerance for injured former Seahawks, having signed TE Ryan Hannam despite knee concerns that landed the skilled blocker on injured reserve). When Urban was let go, there was some talk about whether he might be good enough to crack the rotation. The position has changed quite a bit since then. Seattle has very good one-through-five talent at receiver.
