Broncos WR Rod Smith needs one catch to pass Steve Largent for 12th place in NFL history. Rules changes favoring offense have devalued receptions in general, but Smith's numbers strike me as quite legitimate. He has eight 1,000-yard seasons over the last nine years. He has nine consecutive seasons with at least 70 receptions. He has two seasons with at least 100. He can't touch Largent in receiving touchdowns (100-66), but the "body of work" stands on its own.
