The picks are in for Week 9 and the games are getting tougher to forecast. My wife has a built-in excuse this week; she's under the weather pretty bad. To top it off, she accidentally took two Tylenol PMs last night when she thought she was taking something for a headache. It was 8:45 when I bet here she would be out by 9:15. She made it to about 9:10, so we both won. I won the bet, but she got some sleep.
We both went 8-6 in the picks last week. The records are now: Me 57-25 (.695), Her 52-30 (.650). Those records represent only the games we have picked on the blog (starting in Week 3). This week we disagreed on four games (highlighted in green at right). Somehow we both went out on a limb with the 49ers. I'm happy to have no money on that one. There's no science behind it. The Vikings are the better team, but the 49ers will play better this week if they have any heart.
