With so much time spent analyzing defensive troubles, I haven't gotten around to posting the latest third-down offense chart. Seattle ranks eighth among NFL teams in third-down conversion percentage (.414). This is actually higher than the Seahawks' percentage (.395) during their Super Bowl season a year ago. On the surface, I would attribute this to the team's strength at receiver. The Seahawks have better overall talent at the position this season, and fewer injured players at the position. And as strong as the ground game was last season, the Seahawks found themselves in more third-and-long situations than expected.
