We saw Mike Holmgren unsuccessfully challenge the officials' spot following Mack Strong's third-down run tonight. Not that it mattered. Seattle went for it on fourth-and-1, and got it. Coach-by-coach replays records through Week 12 are in the chart at right.
The Hawks improved to 10-1 under Holmgren in games when Tony Corrente was the referee. This includes the only game under Holmgren featuring zero penalties assessed against Seattle (a few years ago). Corrente assessed 14 penalties in the Seattle-Green Bay game Monday night. Ten were against the Packers and one of them -- roughing the passer against Cullen Jenkins -- drew protests from Green Bay.
"It was a bad call," DT Ryan Pickett said. "He didn't even hit him. You know he pulled off. It was unfortunate. It was a bad call. That's all I can say."
I'll include the season-to-date ref breakdown in another chart below.
