The Dallas Cowboys were the only NFL team to submit a waiver claim on former University of Washington defensive back Tony Parrish, who was waived by the 49ers this week. Parrish has had injury problems this season. He also stands to collect a prorated portion of his $2 million base salary for 2006. I thought Seattle might show some interest in him. Parrish is known as a quality locker-room guy, and he has vast starting experience at a position where savvy can compensate for diminished speed. I do not know, however, how much Parrish has left. Note: The Cowboys would have had priority on the waiver claim, anyway.
