The Hawks' run defense bottomed out in San Francisco last month when Frank Gore rushed for 212 yards. Gore was coming off a strong game when he played the Seahawks, but he is more established as a threat this time around.
Gore had a couple of 50-plus runs against Seattle. The chart breaks down every run by the Seahawks and their opponents, shown by yards gained. Note that Seattle has far more runs of 15-19 yards, while opponents have considerably more runs of 30-plus yards.
Note: For some reason I'm showing 347 rushes for 1,526 yards by the opponents; official stats show 349 rushes for 1,523 yards. There were some confusing statistical rulings in the Arizona game. I might need to revisit those as time permits (say, in July).
