Well, not the 49ers, but someone who covers them. Kevin Lynch, beat reporter for the San Francisco Chronicle, recorded this podcast on all things 49ers. He thinks the 49ers might try to run directly at Julian Peterson in this game. He noted that the 49ers just ran to their left against Seattle last time, whether or not Peterson was over there. You might recall that Frank Gore's 51-yard run started to the left, which was the weak side. Seattle was overloading this side with Lofa Tatupu and Peterson. The fullback was also on this side. Leroy Hill was the strong-side backer on the play, but he was basically lined up across from the center. Gore took the handoff and started weak side. As the tight end shoved Bryce Fisher toward the weak side, Gore cut back to the strong side and only had DBs to conted with. He was outta there.
