Lofa Tatupu might not be enjoying a Pro Bowl-caliber season when compared against his play in 2005, but he might have been as good a choice as anyone from the NFC. Brian Urlacher was an obvious choice as the starting middle linebacker for the NFC. After him, there really wasn't a clear-cut favorite for the second spot. Tatupu got it. Meanwhile, over in the AFC, Baltimore's Ray Lewis and Houston's DeMeco Ryans missed the cut. Both would have been logical choices to join Urlacher had they been eligible in the NFC.
