You might have heard back in March that Mike Holmgren wished the Seahawks would have used the franchise tag on Steve Hutchinson, and that he didn't like resorting to payback tactics with the signing of Nate Burleson. More recently, you might have heard that he was steamed about losing Isaiah Kacyvenski. Pro Football Weekly, which pays me to provide updates on some topics, weighs in on these things in its latest edition.
I did not contribute to this report, other than to tell them two things: it sounded like they were giving new life to old stories; and that Holmgren's dissatisfaction on the Hutchinson preceded the contract extension he signed. Surmised PFW: "If the situation on the field continues spiraling out of control down the stretch and the Seahawks somehow suffer the major embarrassment of not making the playoffs, a major shake-up in Seattle would hardly come as a surprise." They might be right about that, but the odds of Seattle missing the playoffs are pretty steep.
