We down to the final week of regular-season picks. This is where a little information can be a dangerous thing. Some teams will be resting starters. Do you go against the better team because you think the lesser team will play better with more on the line?
In the end, I took the Titans to beat the Patriots in Tennessee, while my wife took the Falcons to shock the Eagles in Philly. Those were the only games we saw differently. She was in a hurry and didn't take the playoff picture into account. My thought was to take it into account to a degree in some cases, but not at the expense of logic. That's why the nothing-to-gain Saints were the choice to beat the Panthers, who simply cannot be trusted, in my view.
The Colts are reeling and could be vulnerable, but it's tough to imagine their new quarterback winning on the road, even against the Indy defense. We both went with the Rams to win in Minnesota. I kept thinking about the Vikings getting three first downs against the Packers. Not good.
