CB Rich Gardner, a former third-round pick of the Titans, is on his way to Seattle. The Seahawks had him in for a tryout in late October. Sounds like they'll take another look at him tomorrow and consider signing him in the wake of Marcus Trufant's injury.
This is not a good time for Trufant to have suffered a high-ankle sprain, which is how Mike Holmgren described the injury. We'll get a more definitive diagnosis tomorrow. I'm hearing there wasn't a break, but that the injury is bad enough to threaten his season. It's late enough in the season that injured reserve will be a consideration, particularly for a cornerback. It's not like he's a guard who can tape it up and give it a go. He needs to be able to sprint, cut, turn and do those things. Stay tuned.
