Back on Dec. 8, we wrote about the Seahawks using six combinations on the offensive line in the first 13 games. The team could use combination No. 8 on Sunday if Chris Gray's injured thigh keeps him out. My assumption has been that Gray will make his 122nd consecutive regular-season start. He has played through many injuries over the centuries. Shaun Alexander seemed to think otherwise today in saying he expected to be running behind yet another combination at Tampa Bay (Floyd Womack would play right guard if Gray were held out). Alexander is no expert on injuries (not even his own, pray tell), but keeping Gray out might make sense given that the playoffs are next week. The chart shows the combinations Seattle has used this season.
