Holmgren also addressed two issues with the special teams: Long snapping and kick returning.
Holmgren said "he's looking" at the long snapping situation because he has not been pleased with Derek Rackley. The team signed long snapper Jared Retkofsky to the practice squad earlier this week.
"We're going to simulate game situation as much as we can," Holmgren said. "That is an important job. We'll see."
Holmgren said he and special teams coach Bruce DeHaven have not yet decided if the team will continue using two returners on kick offs. Nate Burleson has been teamed with rookie Josh Wilson, but Wilson is out a few weeks with an ankle injury.
