The Seahawks practiced in the bubble on Wednesday but outside on Thursday, going for about an hour and 45 minutes.
Mack Strong was out on the field with a whistle, helping coach his former teammates.
Brian Russell had a tremendous day, garnering four -- count em -- four interceptions. One came on goal line defense and he jumped in front of the receiver, prompting Mike Holmgren to tell him with a smile, "You better be right." He also got one that went through the hands of Jordan Kent, another he jumped in front of David Kirtman on a pass and the fourth one I can't remember the specifics.
Never miss a local story.
Josh Wilson was practicing and looks to be moving pretty well, as does Ben Joppru, who has been getting reps because Marcus Pollard has been injured. Pollard did not practice again on Thursday.
DJ Hackett was off on a side field running sprints and he looks like he is moving pretty well also. Though Holmgren said he would be back after the bye week, it wouldn't surprise me to see him come back against the Rams, particularly since this is his contract year and he needs to get as much exposure as necessary. I'll keep an eye on that.
On one play, Maurice Morris took a handoff and ran over Kevin Hobbs in the secondary, prompting a lot of hooting and hollering from the offense. Even Holmgren got in on ribbing Hobbs.
After practice, Baraka Atkins, Darryl Tapp and Brandon Mebane all got some extra work doing sprints. Craig Terrill did some individual agility work with pads.
Shaun Alexander spoke after practice, some of which was enlightening on how he thinks. I'll post some of those quotes after I'm done my daily stuff.
