RB SHAUN ALEXANDER
(On the game today…) It was frustrating, confusing and disappointing. Any time that you get to play in a game like that where you can take leading the division and you can establish some things, it's rough.
(On the offense…) I know we watched lots more film this week. I think after a while, we are going to have to just pop loose. We have to just keep working hard. We have a bunch of guys that like playing the game, they like playing with each other. We keep on playing and we will figure it out.
(On the frustration…) I learned early in my career, that on any play great things can happen in big games, like four touchdowns or five touchdowns and things like that. Also, when it is not happening, you ignore the OK games and the OK runs. I think that sometimes we have to take a step back and take a deep breath, and get back to some little things, and go figure those things out.
(On feeling the fans' frustration…) I think they are feeling the same things that we all feel. They want to see the four touchdown games, and the 200 yard games. We all want that. I can't blame them. That was my goal when I first got here in 2000, was to do stuff that Seattle has never seen before. We have accomplished that and now we have to get back to it. We played hard, but we're not getting it done. We have to go find a way.
(On not getting many carries in the second half…) That's just part of football. Any time you are down by a lot of points, you are not going to get the carries. When teams get up on us, it goes well for them because that handicaps the running game. That is what it is.
(On the overhead camera falling down…) I thought it was going to hit Matt. I saw it after it hit. You kind of laugh, but then you think, man, what else could happen. Then, we had the bad snap for a touchdown, and the camera almost hits Matt. It was just one of those crazy things.
(On playing with a lot of young players having an impact on the offense…) I don't really get into excuses. I can't play that game, because then we'll find one for everything. We just have to play hard, and we'll figure it out.
