DE Darryl Tapp
(On his performance…) "Coach (Dwaine) Board, my D-line coach, and coach (John) Marshall were really on it this week about getting pressure on the quarterback, we didn't play our best last week so we all took it as a challenge upon ourselves to get to the quarterback."
(On the game today…) "It was fun, everything was working well for us today, we were playing, as a defensive unit, the way we are supposed to be playing and things are coming together for us."
(On how he hurt his hand…) "I have no clue, we'll look at the film again, I know it was one of those things that I felt happening, but I didn't know when it happened. It happened before that dropped pass I could have had because I tried to catch it one handed but I don't know exactly when I did it."
(On how the win effects the team…) "Definitely, we had to correct some things from last week, we let the game slip away and we did that throughout the first part of the season, we are just trying to get out feet back on stable ground and trying to move forward. I'm just continuing to work man, I'm a young player, I'm a firstb-year starter so everytime I step on the field I'm trying to be better than I was before."
S Deon Grant
(On the pressure on quarterback Marc Bulger…) "That's any secondary, when you have pressure like that, and you're really getting to the quarterback, his timing isn't going to be there. That's any secondary, we know it's like that, you can sit or you can really start reading routes better."
(On his interception…) "I look at it two ways, the one I made, a couple weeks ago, our team went in and scored to give us another touchdown to win the game, this game we closed it out, so I think both of them were good, I've got to do something to top-off both of them."
(On the defensive performance..) "It was big, we have a key guy out right now in (Chuck) Darby, we just wanted to come in and start really playing like a team. Those other games those shutouts we had, we still haven't played like a team, we just haven't been playing good defensive football, but today our main focus was to go out there and play as a team from here on out."
OT Walter Jones
(On the offensive line coming together…) "I think so, we just have to keep working, it's a learning process for everybody and we're still learning. We're going to get better each week, coming off the bye week, to be 4 –3, that's pretty good, we wish we could have a better record but we are still in the hunt. This was a division game where we had to come out and play our best football."
TE Will Heller
(On his performance…) "It was just a lot of fun for me, we knew unfortuantely Marcus (Pollard) had a knee ailment the past couple weeks, so I was getting a lot of reps in practice and it just carried over into the game. We made great calls at the right time and it worked out."
(On his two touchdowns…) "Yeah I have kind of been labeled as a non-receiving tight end, but that's how this league works and like I say, it was great play calls at the right time, and we got in some good situations and made some plays."
(On being labeled as a non-receiving tight end…) "I don't mind it, I don't listen to anybody says like that, I just go out and play and do what I can do, and try to make the most of my opportunities."
(On expecting an expanded role in the game…) "We have plays like that in a lot of game plans, it's just the situation, being in the right situation it's going to get called. Today it just happened to work out where we called them because we thought they would be productive and it ended up being productive, it was fun."
G Rob Sims
(On the offensive line…) "I think we played well, we've still got a ways to go, I think we made some mistakes out there, I know I did, I made some mistakes out there I wish I could have back, but we battled and our whole thing was we wanted to be as physical as possible and let those other guys make plays. We went out there and did it, and at end of the day we got a win."
