Matt Hasselbeck's injury is an oblique muscle. He was funny because he said he did not even know he had an oblique. He said he did not think it was serious and he could have finished the game if they had asked him to. It obviously affected his passing and he attributed the INT that sailed to Engram on the oblique but said it should heal by the time the Browns game rolls around.
Holmgren admitted that Shaun Alexander was frustrated and did not want to come out of the game. He said he didn't want Alexander to get hurt when everybody wasnt in there, and had to explain it to Shaun. I asked Holmgren if he thought part of Shaun's frustrations stemmed from the fact that Holmgren called a pass play for Will Heller on the 1 instead of giving it to Shaun. He said he was sure that was part of it but that he did not play favorites, he just wants to score. In a slick move, Alexander, who usually does his press conference after Hasselbeck, did it before, and the reporters in the locker room were not told. I do not yet have the quote sheets from that, but I'll post them later.
Darryl Tapp, he of the four sacks, has a broken bone in his hand, similar to the one David Kirtman suffered in the training camp. They will determine tomorrow if he needs surgery. If he does, he can play with a protective glove the will let his fingers be exposed. If he does not have surgery, he has to wear that big mitt he was wearing at the end of the game.
That's all for now. I have to write my daily stuff. But I'll post quotes and stuff along the way.
