The Seahawks thus far look pretty impressive while leading the Cleveland Browns, 21-9, at halftime, though Cleveland's drive at the end of the first half can at least partially be pinned on a poor punt by Ryan Plackemeier, giving the Browns the ball on their own 44. Then, for whatever reason, the defense played soft and gave up a late FG. It could have been worse, but the defense stood from first and goal at the 2. The secondary has done a really nice job of containing both Braylon Edwards and Kellen Winslow, and Derek Anderson does not appear to be able to get into a rhythm. He is 12 for 23 for 148 yards. Marcus Trufant, as he did against Chad Johnson, has been mirroring Edwards. The Seahawks' running game still has not gotten going, but Matt Hasselbeck looks pretty good, finding receivers, mostly Bobby Engram, and making good reads. You are kind of wondering why they are even messing with the run, given that Cleveland does not seem to be able to stop Hasselbeck and Co. Matt is 15-for-21 for 172 yards, two TDs and one INT. The TDs were to Engram and DJ Hackett, playing for the first time since the first game of the season. Nate Burleson had yet another impressive punt return, 94 yards for a touchdown, dodging and eluding an entire wave of defenders and then juking the punter. Shaun hurt his left leg but came back in, but he cannot find any room to run. The culprits to me appear to be Chris Spenver and Chris Sims, though Boling says Walter Jones has not been great either. They'll need to keep throwing in the second half because Cleveland is going to keep trying to go deep.
